Admissions Policy
Upon submission of this application the Admissions Coordinator will arrange an interview with the student, at least one parent/guardian, and the principal. Placement exams may be administered to new students in K - 4th grades. The Principal will make the admissions decision.
Admission Requirements for the Preschool/PreK Student: A child shall be three years old by September 1 of the fall in which he/she would be entering Preschool (four years for Pre-Kindergarten.)
Admission Requirements for the Elementary Student: A child shall be five years old by September 1 of the fall in which he/she would be entering Kindergarten, six years for 1st grade, etc.). Based on the entrance exam, some transfer students are admitted to a lower grade. Our goal is the long-term success of the student in an academic environment as opposed to automatic promotion based on age.
Admission Requirements for the Parents/Guardians: Though not required to be Christians, the parents/guardians of students in TCS should have a clear understanding of the Biblical philosophy and purpose of the school. This understanding includes a willingness to have their child exposed to the clear teaching (not forced indoctrination) of the school's Statement of Faith in various and frequent ways within the school's program. The parents/guardians should be willing to cooperate with all the written policies of TCS. This is most important in the area of discipline and schoolwork standards, as well as active communication with the respective teacher(s) and administration.
Mission Statement:
To foster children unto the full knowledge of God and His creation. To equip and partner with parents who know and love the Lord in providing excellent and faithful educational instruction to children for the betterment of their families, furtherance of the gospel, and for the glory of God.
STATEMENT OF FAITH:
https://tamarackchristian.org/statements-of-belief In signing this application, I/we acknowledge our commitment to the following:
- Have carefully read the Mission statement, School Policy statement, General Ministry Statement and signed the Statement of Faith of the school.
- If my/our child(ren) is accepted into TCS I/we hereby certify that I/we will adhere to principles and policies of the school as stated in its current Student Handbook (review copy of handbook when received).
- Will uphold the Triune God-head and the Bible as the true and inspired Word of God.
- Appreciate the standards of the school and will not tolerate profanity, obscenity in words or actions, or disrespect to school personnel.
- Agree to support all regulations of the school on behalf of our child(ren) concerning discipline.
- Agree that the school reserves the right to expel any child who after a reasonable amount of time, fails to comply with the school’s rules and policies.
- Agree that any damage done by my child(ren) to the school or church property, deemed malicious by the Administrator, will be the financial responsibility of the parents.
- Agree to follow God’s line of authority when differences of opinion exist. We will first go to the person with whom we have a problem. If not resolved, we will then go with the individual to the administrator, following the principles of Matthew 18:15-17.
- Agree that should we take legal action against TCS, their administrators or teachers, we will be held responsible for any cost incurred by any or all of the above for legal defense and fees should we lose the case in a court of law or settle out of court.
- Agree to pay in full the tuition stated for each applicable grade level and understand that my child(ren) may be suspended if these financial obligations are not met.
- Agree to make payments directly to TCS according to the payment plan and type we select. We will post late fees and provide follow-up for past due tuition payments. Agree to pay all fees.
As always, we desire to work with families and know there are situations that arise that impact family finances.
Please communicate with us if there is a need for a modified payment plan or due date. If unforeseen financial circumstances arise, please contact the school principal as soon as possible.
